Administration to release prewar Iraq documents
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Bush administration on Monday said it was preparing to release prewar Iraqi government material from a trove of documents and tape-recordings captured after the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.

The office of U.S. intelligence chief John Negroponte decided in recent days to fund a review and release process for an estimated 48,000 boxes of documents and hundreds of recorded conversations, including many involving Saddam Hussein himself, officials said.

The material, removed from Iraq to Qatar, has already been reviewed by the CIA's Iraq Survey Group and continues to be scrutinized for intelligence by the U.S. military, officials said.

But officials said Negroponte's Office of the Director of National Intelligence, or ODNI, is expected to move quickly to release as much of the material as possible.

5. it's already started... Moonie TImes reported today
that Saddam was seeking uranium from Niger at one point... or maybe he once said those words over some period of time. In all cases BushCo is now vindicated :sarcasm:

8. That's extremely old news.
I don't know about the Moonie Times but there have been reasonably credible reports out for years that Saddam was seeking uranium from Africa. I don't see what any captured document release can add to that story.

3. Here wo go again.
Here we go again. “Gimme a W, Gimme an A, Gimme an R”. The Cheerleader-in-Chief is back trying to sell a disastrous war he couldn’t give away and drum up support for one that he is about to start. The debacle that went from “Shock and Awe” to “Disbelief and Despair” is due for its annual validation by the man who still claims to believe it was a good idea. The man who claimed that his “Plan A” was really his last resort is still trying to salvage his tarnished legacy by making us the common enemy and the target of both sides of a civil war. Put up a banner and read a speech in front if it. This is not leadership and this is not a leader. This is the traveling gnome, a propaganda tool that just doesn’t work anymore. Impeach him, replace him, remove him. Just make him go away while we still have a planet that can be saved.

6. more PR with documents
I'm sure this will be convincing. In fact, it will probably be convincing enough that we can just bleed this war right into Iran. :sarcasm:

Their audacity is what outrages me most.
