Senators' trip kicks off critical US-China period
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/redir.php?jid=1b383fa714985ee0&cat=c08dd24cec417021

These are momentous times for trade relations between America and China," Sen. Charles Schumer, a New York Democrat, said at joint news conference with Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, ahead of their trip to pressure Beijing to revalue its yuan currency at a higher exchange rate to the dollar.

The latest deadline of March 31 follows months of frustration that changes made by China to its exchange rate mechanism last July have only led to an estimated 3 percent rise in the yuan's value, rather than the 15 percent to 40 percent increase that many had sought.

"You have our vote scheduled for the 31st. You have President Hu's visit and you have the currency report," Schumer said, referring to a trio of events that have the potential to shape U.S.-China economic relations for years to come.

1. We're fucked. Thank you * and your GOP asslickers.
Tax cuts for the wealthy were not necessary, as they don't trickle down jobs.

Tax cuts in a time of "war" are just plain stupid. Yes, we have a military budget, but it's based on peace time/most time. * and the GOP still granted further tax cuts to the energy producers (oil) at a time when our country is in deepshit dept.

* says one thing, but does another. Education: Defund Pell grants. Alternatie Energy: Tax breaks for the oil industry. Democracy in Iraq: US sponsored/trained death squads. Hello Nicaragua.

And that's just a few. It really gets worse if you examine healthcare and the militrary.

Bottom line: These people are bad for our government. And that includes all the Democratic elects that voted for various garbage because they were paid to do so. Of course, they don't see it that way. The corporate donation was really inspired by things that the candidate said against the corporation, that the corporate donation to the candidate's election fund suddenly nullefied any opjections the candidate had to the corporate doner/offender.
