BAGHDAD, Iraq - Roadside bombs targeting police patrols exploded in Baghdad and nearby Iskandariyah on Thursday, killing at least five people and wounding a dozen others, police said.
The blast in Baghdad's mostly Sunni Muslim neighborhood of Azamiyah killed two policemen and two bystanders, police Lt. Ahmed Mohammed Ali said.
At least seven people — two policemen and five civilians — were wounded, he said.
Another bomb in the capital wounded four civilians in the downtown district of Karradah, which is mostly Shiite but has a large Sunni community.

BAGHDAD - At least 10 Iraqi policemen were killed and more than 42 people wounded in a series of car bombings Thursday, including a suicide attack on a Baghdad anti-terrorist unit, security officials said.
In the most deadly attack, the bomber blew his car up at the entrance to the headquarters of an anti-terrorism unit in central Baghdad, killing six police and wounding 22 others, mostly policemen, an interior ministry official said.
Earlier in the day, at least three other policemen were killed and five people were wounded in car bomb attack in the north of the city.
