Bush Blasts Democrats on Economics

President Bush, trying to regain his political footing ahead of this year's critical midterm elections, asserted Friday "the difference is clear" between the two parties on how to sustain the U.S. economic recovery.

"If you want the goverment in your pocket vote Democrat," Bush said. "If you want to keep more of your hard earned money vote Republican."

He made one of his strongest appeals yet for making permanent various tax cuts due to expire within several years.

Speaking at a fundraiser for Republican Congressman Mike Sodrel in what may be one of the closest races in the country, Bush attempted to draw a sharp contrast between the two parties' economic policies.

"We've got a record to stand on," Bush said.

10. Oh , where to begin...
First of all mr. "prez": it's "Democratic" not "Democrat"! But then your whole party does this.

Second, because of your government, my property taxes have gone way up. The feds taketh away, but the locals need to jack up taxes to make up for it!

Third, if you care about my pocket, how about doing something about energy costs? And how about not getting my GRANDCHILDREN into debt to China, before they are even conceived??

How about cracking down on CEOs who are making out like bandits and failing to provide the basics to their employees?

How about getting rid of corrupt Congresscritters who earmark the hell out of every bill and cost us, the taxpayer, way too much for their pet projects?

Once again he is using Orwellian speech: They definitely have a record to run away from!!!

How about:

"If you want your income to grow and your retirement investments to grow, vote Democratic"
"If you want your job outsourced and your retirement to sink, vote Republican"

"Moving adroitly from one failure to the next, President Bush today dropped his defense of the Iraq debacle like a hot potato to remind everyone that his administration has run up record deficits over the past five years. Gratuitous, spokesman for the Poor College Boy Network, responded that Mr. Bush had better 'step off my nuts' or face unspecified consequences."

An economy doing so well all kinds of manufacturing jobs are shutting down, a president who says losing your job is good circa 2004 and 2006. corporations having to cut benefits because they're so expensive. .:sarcasm: I don't know what economy you're looking at, but it's not in this universe.

BROTHER, (BUDDY) CAN YOU SPARE A DIME?

Once I built a railroad, I made it run
I made it run against time
Once I built a railroad, and now it's done
Buddy, can you spare a dime?

Once I built a tower way up to the sun
Of bricks and morter and lime
Once I built a tower, and now it's done
Buddy can you spare a dime?

Once in khaki suits, gee we looked swell
Full of that Yankee-Doodlee-Dum
A half-a-million boots went sloggin' through hell
And I was the kid with the drum

Say don't you remember, you called me Al
It was Al all the time
Say don't you remember, I was your pal
Buddy, can you spare a dime?

Once I built a railroad, I made it run
I made it run against time
Once I built a railroad, and now it's done
Buddy, can you spare a dime?

38. That is true, they do have a record to stand on.
A record of total failure and corruption. I know Bush and crew don't worry about what people will say about them in the future, but they really should think about their children and future offspring in the clan and a reputation of dishonesty and evil deeds. Politics will mark them as tainted goods until the end of time. It's ashame they don't care about stuff like this.
