Brattleboro joins impeachment call

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. --The town is the latest in a string of Vermont communities to call on the congressional delegation to investigate whether President Bush should be impeached.

The resolution was proposed by Dora Bouboulis. She said impeaching the president was the "best way to support the troops caught in a quagmire."

Only a handful of representatives spoke disagreed with the intent of the resolution. Jesse Corum said one of his is in the Navy and served in Iraq.

"We lost about 3,000 people in New York on Sept. 11, 2001," he said. "I know there are differing views, but we should never, ever forget that."

the through-hikers on the AT. I'm in Hiawassee, GA, often the first stop off the start at Springer in the spring, or the last stop as they approach the end in fall. Maybe they can pass along the message as they go. These hikers are very respected for their courage and determination--especially if they bathe before coming into town--lol.
