Three Groups of Gunmen Kidnap 24 Iraqis

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Three groups of gunmen kidnapped at least 24 Iraqis working at a currency exchange and two electronics stores in Baghdad on Tuesday, the interior ministry said. The abductions happened separately but within the same half-hour period, the ministry said.

Fifteen gunmen wearing military uniforms but arriving in civilian cars stormed the Moussa Bin Nasir Exchange Co. in the southwest Harthiyah neighborhood at about 1 p.m., kidnapping six people and stealing tens of thousands of dollars, police Lt. Col. Ali Rashid said.

At around the same time, seven gunmen in civilian clothes ran into a Daewoo International electronics store in the downtown Karradah district and snatched three employees, including the store manager, police Lt. Thaer Mahmoud said.

A half-hour later, masked gunmen in military uniforms and helmets stormed a different branch of the same company in eastern Baghdad, abducting 15 employees, Lt. Col. Falah al-Mohmmedawi said. They also arrived in civilian cars.

2. I don't know what the hell anyone can do about this. It's the

fault of the bush** administration, without a doubt. But no matter what we do, stay or leave, this shit is going to just keep on happening. That country needs another Saddam unfortunately.

Oh yeah, we still have to problem with the Kurds to look forward to. Wait 'til the try to secede and that the oil fields with them. That promises to be loads of fun for everyone involved.

3. Depends on how much of stuff like this is being done by our soldiers

and CIA agents. It is not in * best interest to have a stable, united Iraq. The US gov't doesn't like stability in the rest of the world. They might actually look after their own best interests and not the interests of corporation America.


There have been 2 stories of US soldiers with car bombs in civilian dress being caught and one of a British soldier. There have been numerious stories by Iraqis that found bombs in their cars or trucks after being stopped by US soldiers. TIme to get out.
