1. Some of my friends went to Turkey to see it.
Well, to see the eclipse and go to the giant hippie eclipse rave, as well. :)

5. No, unfortunately.
Bunch of people from the UK. It's fairly cheap to get to Turkey from here. :)

21. August 2008, eh? 3 mos before the critical election of our lifetimes...
About whether our country has a chance at a future or another Dictator....Maybe by then, if we all make it, we'll do the road trip north and just stay.... :eyes:

Yes, that would be a long road trip, but you got to admit, it would be an amazing one! :hi:

13. The dog woke me up as usual for way-too-early outing
I usually go read a little while he's out and first post was yours! I don't know other webcam sites are, but this one is great! The "diamond ring" effect was cool.

14. I'm guessing
You're west coast. We're already on summer time so's you'd be 9 hours behind me.
If so then yes - I guess it would be dark !

8. Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia, to see the total eclipse of
the Sun...

Well, you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not, you're with
Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

16. Absolutely beautiful...the red corona showing at the end....
:wow:

I thought one of the interviews with a person in the crowd was fascinating...he talked about seeing the 1999 solar eclipse and that he just like then could feel the moons gravitational pull and that he was worried about another earthquake....
