Nelson has big lead over Harris in poll

TALLAHASSEE — U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris’ well-documented campaign troubles hasn’t caused opinion to change about her, according to a poll released this week.

Harris, a Republican, trailed Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson 51-35 in a Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. survey conducted for several newspapers and television stations. That’s virtually unchanged since Harris said last June that she would challenge Nelson. At that point, Mason-Dixon showed Nelson ahead 53-36.

The statewide poll of 625 registered voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. It was conducted March 21-23.

“I don’t think the voters are paying all that much attention to the race right now,” said Bradford Coker, managing director of the Washington-based company. “All the coverage of Harris’ problems are insider baseball.”

9. That does not mean they won't flip the election if they want her to win!
Remember that guys- the main reason the GOP wants her out, is so that they can run a candidate who will come closer to Nelson. This way they can flip the machines and not have it be so obvious. Now they are in a bit of a pickle with her being so far behind. However, that does not mean they won't try something if they decide it's important for her to get into the Senate...

That's why it is so important to support Clint Curtis for Congress! This is our opportunity to propel the election fraud and election rigging issue into the mainstream media and at the same time, expose Tom Feeney, one of the most corrupt politicians in the Republican party. Feeney is the elected official who hired Clint to design a program to manipulate the votes in electronic machines without detection- for goodness sakes, folks- how can this not be something we all are supporting?

Manipulating elections is a national issue and impacts every single one of us. Please help us get this out of the closet and into the face of the media! If we don't put a stop on this right now, we will never get these criminals out of office. They've rigged it every year since 2000- let's not let them do it again!

Fight for our right to vote and have our vote counted (in the way we have intended!) Please support Clint Curtis for Congress- every dollar helps!!!

10. one wonders if she;s got the 'nads to extort the BFEE into turning on the
Florida fake election apparatus and give her the long-shot win. After all, she knows where the bodies are buried from 2000--she helped bury them.

Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 10:56 AM by Brundle_Fly
2000 was her ticket, they can't stop her, they want too, they know she is a flake.

she'll magically win with a 1-2% victory, just pulling it out in the end, and surprising the exit polls.

edit to add...

they still have the old disappearing trick though... she is probably dangerous enough to all of them, that that isn't off the table.

14. It's Florida. Even if Harris gets only 10 votes, the black boxes
could still let her steal the election. She is the former Secretary of State in Florida, and she has already stolen elections.

She will not risk her inheritance and continue to run unless she knows that she can steal the election. She is corrupt, and she is a power hungry lunatic, and she knows who conspired with her to steal the 2000 election and how they did it.

Congress, and the White House are largely comprised of corrupt fascists intent on destroying the Constitution and democracy in the US.

Not to mention that the governor and secretary of state of Florida are fascists as well.

Example: "Yuh, haw-haw, we did it again, we cheated! It's not like we don't do it all the time. So what are you gonna do about it?"

Heck, they stole the Presidency in 2000, it is completely provable that they stole the Presidency in 2000, yet nothing was done to stop it. The Supreme Court even acted illegally to ensure that this fascist regime would assume power so they could begin the totalitarian takeover.

Even if we took to the streets with torches and pitchforks, the fact is that the fascists have already put the historical agents, agencies, and implements of domestic oppression and control into place - they would wiretap all communications and use the military, the newly centralized intelligence community under John "The Butcher" Negroponte, and "Homeland Security" to crush any attempt by the People of the US to regain a democratic system of government.

And those that are easily swayed by Corporate/State controlled media propaganda (republicans) would support the new totalitarianist system. Just like they did when the coup of 2000 took place.

This is a sad state of affairs that our country has come to, and I am not trying to discourage anyone from voting despite the anti-democratic forces working against insuring fair, honest elections in the US. We certainly need to have a visible pro-democracy majority presence at the polls.

But we really need to do something about electronic voting before the 2006 and 2008 elections, and I don't have any idea what would be an effective method of eliminating electronic voting machines from the balloting process.

Maybe it would be a very good thing for We the People if someone threw all the black boxes into Boston Harbor.

22. I don't understand this at all
This is the woman who fixed the 2000 election? When I first heard she was running, I figured she was a shoo-in, then it turned out that she's a total joke. So how did she ever become Florida Secretary of State or a US Representative?

24. Don't know how she got SoS...
Probably rode in with Jeb Bush. But after her performance in 2000, handing election to GW Bush, she got the Repub nomination from her district, which is heavily upscale Republican. She could probably still win Congress from her home district.

Honey Chile, you just hang in there for the duration! And be sure to spend all those $10 million on your campaign.

She seems stubborn enough. I hope she hangs on, like a leech till the very end. It'll be hard to rig the election with her in the horse race.
