Probe into corruption reaches DeLay's inner circle, sources say
BY KENNETH R. BAZINET
New York Daily News

WASHINGTON - The latest plea deal in the GOP lobbying corruption scandal has moved the investigation to Rep. Tom DeLay's inner circle, congressional insiders said.

DeLay's former deputy chief of staff, Tony Rudy, 39, did not implicate him in any wrongdoing when he pleaded guilty Friday to conspiracy in the case involving convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

But Rudy did finger his ex-boss - DeLay's former chief of staff Ed Buckham - as playing a role in the congressional bribery scandal.

"They were Batman and Robin. Tony didn't do anything without Buckham's say-so. ... Buckham was Batman," said a knowledgeable source.

2. WOULD YOU GO QUAIL HUNTING WITH HIM?
If he gets his gun back would you go "hunting" with him? seems most of "dubyas" elite inner circle
feels like "laws" are only to be skirted.
how to "hell" did this bunch "hijack" our government? is this the best we can do? who's the real money financing them? is it really just billionare oil men?
perhaps the press ought to be more aggressive checking out where the campaign money is flowing from and a little less on whose "screwing" the maid!

7. This shouldn't surprise anyone
although the thought of DeLay in tight, stretchy pants is a little disgusting. :puke:

Just more trouble for the insanely corrupt Republican Party. We can say "buh-bye" to many of them in November.

9. My goodness, all these guilty pleas
I'm beginning to think that Tom DeLay is either the unluckiest man on the face of the planet, or the poorest judge of character. I mean, he went to "War on Christians" conference, so we know he can't be corrupt, because he's such a good Christian man. Just so very sad for Mr. DeLay to have had to consort with so many criminals who were clearly unreceptive to the sterling example that is Tom DeLay.

{Giggle}

Nope, couldn't quite type that and keep a straight face. My bad.
