9. They'd already identified

the genetic makeup of Spanish Flu from pathology samples stored since 1918. It was as a result of that they managed to figure what enables the spread and rate of infection i.e combined avian ,which doesn't transmit easily ,and normal flu which does so.

Playing around with "the new kid on the block" is unlikely to have anything other than a positive outcome although would have no bearing on subsequent mutations.

It's interesting that hospitals your side already have permission to use their underground carparks as morturies and this side mass burials have already been agreed to be the only practical solution.

Broadly speaking it is felt that if you had Asian flu 1968 you may have a higher degree of protection. If not then be afraid - very afraid. And - don't be so dismissive of the thought of stocking tuna and powdered milk

The other ref., to the USA, was part of a documentary , made this year , which also had the section about defining the genetic make up of the 1918 virus. I'll have a root around later to see if I can find the documentary by name.

I have read the article you attached. I can only assume that when avian flu combined with normal flu back in 1928 that 25 million or so only assumed that they died - guess they must all have been economists.

16. I can't find the documentary

to which I referred. It was aired here late Feb/early March and don't recall whether is was one of the BBC or ITV channels or a Cable channel. I recall that mention of identifying the genetic sequence of the 1918 flu was the first reference to that subject I'd come across - I hadn't previously known that there were stored pathology samples from 1918. Reference to the hospital carparks in the USA, not here - we dont generally have those, was with respect to their underground carparks which tend to remain cool. They recognised that the actual hospital buildings would have insufficient storage capacity prior to burial.
