Potential Clinton Challenger Hires Second Former Harris Adviser

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Kathleen Troia "KT" McFarland said Monday that a second major figure from the embattled Florida Senate campaign of Katherine Harris will instead work on her effort to unseat Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in New York.

McFarland, a former Reagan-era Pentagon official who has never run for public office before, said Adam Goodman would head her media team.

Goodman was a top political adviser to then-New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani when he was expected to be the Republican candidate against Clinton in 2000. Giuliani quit the Senate race in May 2000 in the face of prostate cancer.

"This is just like a dream come true," the Florida-based Goodman said on Monday. "Like they say, it's deja vu all over again."
