Commissioner Admits to Online Sex Chats
Commissioner Admits to Online Sex Chats

By Matthew Mosk
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, April 7, 2006; Page B09

A Maryland Public Service Commission member acknowledged yesterday that he used his state computer to engage in sexual conversations with an alleged prostitute but said he never committed a criminal act.

Charles R. Boutin issued a statement last night expressing his shame and sorrow for his conduct, but he said in a strikingly candid news release that his actions were part of an effort to deal with his impotency after surgery for bladder cancer.

"I committed no criminal act," said Boutin, appointed to the prominent state post by Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. (R) last year after seven years as a Republican delegate from Harford County. "I acknowledge, however, that my judgment was morally wrong and I am ashamed and sorry."

Lawmakers from his area said yesterday that they believe he should resign from the $100,000-a-year post on the commission, which regulates state utilities.

1. Another sex-crazed republican.
How could anyone ever imagine these pseudo humans capable of judging what anyone else should do with their own bodies?

I research GOP Corruption daily. I draw the line on concenting adults doing no harm.

However, should a Rep campaign on FAUX FAMILY VALUES, that is when I will bring it to everyone's attention.

16. The entire GOP beats the fake family values horse to death
It's important to keep pointing out that Smirk n Snarl swear like sailors, and these other Repukes keep getting caught doing nasty things. Phone sex on the taxpayer's dime is just another ludicrous example of "the rules are for you suckers, not me" attitude these pukes have. Arrogance, hypocrisy and corruption in equal parts.

28. oh well...guess i have to report it
During his years in Annapolis, Boutin was a chief sponsor of the Defense of Marriage Act, which prevents the state from recognizing same-sex marriages. Del. Richard S. Madaleno Jr. (D-Montgomery) called it "ironic that someone who professed to protect the sanctity of marriage was violating the sanctity of his own marriage."

25. Is it a gene they have that makes them perverts and repubs

at the same time?

I am shocked!

And remember, these are only the ones that are getting caught.
The rest are living at the WH and in high public places.

30. It is a symptom...
...of thier own "strict morals." When you are so dead-set against any form of sex outside of heterosexual marriage (and in only one position), you tend to loose it when you think no one is looking.

Boutin, former Harford delegate, apologizes for exchanging e-mails with prostitute
By Justin Fenton
Sun reporter
Originally published April 7, 2006

Charles R. Boutin, a member of the Public Service Commission, apologized yesterday for using his state computer account to exchange sexually oriented e-mails with a prostitute.
(snip)

Boutin said in his statement that he had arranged a meeting with the woman but changed his mind. "I committed no criminal act," he said

A former mayor of Aberdeen, Boutin represented Harford and Cecil counties in the House of Delegates from 1999 until 2005, when he was appointed to the Public Service Commission. The governor declined to comment yesterday, and PSC Chairman Kenneth D. Schisler did not respond to a phone call placed the previous day.

Last year, Boutin was ranked by the Maryland Family Values Alliance as one of the most "family values-friendly legislators in Maryland," based on his voting record. "In today's world, family values are very important in our community, and I will continue to strive to support them in the future," he said in a statement on his legislative Web site.

    Oh, my sides hurt...

Off the top of my head, two things are NOT funny about this, though - the effect on his family, and the fact that corrupt hypocrites like this are in positions to decide who the rest of us can marry, and what we do with our own bodies. :puke:

But so long as they are 'girls'...only a pervert would do it with a 'guy'

and he actually mentioned it on-air!!

...
Here was the exchange between Colmes and Horsley:

Horsley: Hey, Alan, if you want to accuse me of having sex when I was a fool, I did everything that crossed my mind that looked like I . . .

Colmes: You had sex with animals?

Horsley: Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule.

Colmes: I'm not so sure that that is so.

Horsley: You didn't grow up on a farm in Georgia, did you?

Colmes: Are you suggesting that everybody who grows up on a farm in Georgia has a mule as a girlfriend?

Horsley: It has historically been the case. You people are so far removed from the reality. . . . Welcome to domestic life on the farm. You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually. You're naive. You know better than that. . . . If it's warm and it's damp and it vibrates, you might in fact have sex with it.

29. These stories really have me wondering now.
I'd really be interested to know how many Democratic politicians have been caught doing this stuff. I know it happens. I'm wondering if, because of the bias of this site, those stories just don't get reported here. I'm really curious now if there really is such a huge difference and really, really would like to know why the difference. It would seem that humanity being what it is, things like this would be more balanced. Perhaps people with perversions and power issues DO gravitate to certain political ideas.

Liberals definitely do have a live and let live attitude and tend not to care about others' sex lives, while conservatives seem to project their own sexual feelings onto others and try to prevent others' from acting on those feelings.

33. There's a lot of info on the net.
Last year, we did some investigation and found out of 726 sex crimes wherein the the political leanings of the perp were known or the perp, himself, claimed, 723 claimed repuke and 3 claimed dem. Pretty telling.

(I'm suspicious of those three, but wtf?)

31. Not A CRIMINALIssue - Def. A POLITICALIssue
Good god knows, i use my work computer for things that aren't 'company business' (like posting messages on DU) - I wouldn't want to get fired for 'misusing company computers' or whatever. That is a petty and lame thing to get 'busted' for and any company that was that nazi about it, I would rather not work at.

Anyway, wtf - this guy was having dirty chats - OK, yeah, I could see him getting in trouble at 'work' about it, but is it CRIMINAL? I swear, some people on DU have a hard time setting aside their hatred of repukes long enough to think about proportion in situations like this.

That said, he SHOULD be dragged through the mud and stripped of all his pretense of being 'moral' etc - He has forfeited this. This should be his "Marion Barry smoking crack' moment.
