Perhaps we can DU the School District and, en masse, suggest they "reconsider" this man's employment? Someone who would make those kinds of threats and act with such disregard and cruelty toward ANYONE shouldn't, in my opinion, be working around people who are young, impressionable and, perhaps, highly emotional.

If Steve & Jen are reviewing news, I'd just like to check their sources before I get to firing off letters to schools and school boards.

1. How did the 8th grader procure a loaded handgun?

2. The press release appears to be from the mother. Has a police report been released on the death yet? (i.e. What were the circumstances of the death? Was a suicide note left?)

The principal allegedly:

* "...told him that he was going to prison for three years..."
* "..forbade Anthony from attending graduation activities and threatened to fine his mother for Anthony's truancy and participation in the student protests."

I'd like just a bit more information before I condemn this guy for the death of a child. Was this recurring behavior on the principal's part or was all this from one discussion with the child?
