Bush's approval ratings hit all-time low in California
Associated Press

SAN FRANCISCO - President Bush's approval ratings among Californians have hit a new low, with his numbers among the lowest any president has received in the state in three decades, according to a new poll.

Only 32 percent of registered voters approve of the job Bush is doing, while 62 percent disapprove, according to the statewide Field Poll released Tuesday.

Bush has never been overly popular in California, a state he lost twice in presidential elections, except in the months immediately following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. His approval rating in the poll has been below 40 percent in five Field Polls since last June.

Bush's disapproval rate among Democrats is 85 percent and 64 percent among voters in neither of the two major parties. A majority of Republicans support Bush, with 59 percent saying he's doing a good job and 32 percent disapproving.

9. I think *'s popularity is higher in the Inland Valley
than it is in Los Angeles. Probably higher down in San Diego than in L.A. So the kooks who live in San Bernardino and Riverside counties are still drinking the koolaid (at least the Minute Man-KKK axis of dumbasses). But at our weekly anti-war vigil on the Westside of L.A., sentiment has turned so decisively against BFEE that Marcy Winograd may end up beating Jane Harman in the Democratic Primary on June 6. Still a long shot, but not as big a one as when Marcy first announced.

17. What's note-worthy is that now when I vigil, the pro-war people
(those who remain) seem so unbelievable angry. Where before they would maybe shake their heads and make the cuckoo sign with their hands, they now invariably flip me off and their faces are always contorted in rage. (That's why my wife and friends convinced me to take the death threat seriously.)

15. 30% seems to hold no matter where they poll
That is his TRUE support, folks.. That's all it's EVER been or EVER will be. It's the SAME 30% who pilloried Clinton..The republican party is a "30% majority". They are LOUD, OBNOXIOUS and well connected and that's WHY they can claim majority status.. The media does NOTHING to dispel the "majority myth" so it continues...even though polls PROVE it over and over..

They MUST maintain the myth or their bogus election "wins" would look VERY suspicious.

12. Lots of folks around Modesto and Stockton areas still
support *. Mainly the church folk, I think. I have family in those areas and this is what they are saying. Many of the churches back him and the poor dumb members cannot think for themselves.

---snip---

Researchers interviewed 729 adults, including 462 voters, by telephone from April 3-7 in English and Spanish. The poll has a sampling error rate of 5 percentage points.

this poll is for pre-libby revelation about the leaks and not factored into the poll. I want to see the polls taken after Libby-the-leaker pointed at the BIG LEAKER
