KARACHI, Pakistan — A bomb exploded during evening prayer Tuesday at a public park in southern Pakistan, injuring dozens of people, a witness said.

The bomb went off at Nishtar Park in Karachi, the capital of southern Sindh province, when hundreds of people were praying after celebrating the anniversary of the birth of Islam's Prophet Muhammad, said witness Mohammed Asif.

"I saw dozens of people being taken to hospital in ambulances," he said.
