Morales Thanks Cuba for Cooperation
La Paz, Apr 12 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia´s President Evo Morales expressed thanks for Cuban health cooperation and confirmed Miracle Operation, a project to help low-income people to have free eye surgery, is expanding to Bolivia´s eastern city of Santa Cruz.

Morales highlighted Cuban solidarity in a speech on Tuesday night at the opening of a biennial emergency employment plan that will provide jobs to 100,000 people.

The president praised Cuban cooperation and the recent presence in Villa Tunari city of the island nation´s foreign minister Felipe Perez Roque for the opening of an ophthomology center run by Venezuelan and Cuban doctors.

Morales also thanked Cuba for training thousands of young Bolivians from poor communities to become doctors.

3. Great news, isn't it? It's about time some attention was invested
in trying to bring desperately needed help to the very poor of Bolivia, rather than finding new ways to exploit them.

This slime was the President who threw open the doors to the Bechtel company who nearly destroyed the poor with such steep rates they finally had no recourse but to riot in the streets. Imagine a company with so much power it could try to make it illegal for citizens to try to trap rainwater in barrels in order to obtain just a little "free" rainwater for personal use.



Goodbye, good riddance. He'll NEVER be missed. Ex-President Hugo Banzer.
