Attacks Against Gov't Employees in Iraq Escalate By Anadolu News Agency (aa), Bagdat (Baghdad)

Attacks continue to increase against government employees in the Iraqi capital Bagdat (Baghdad).
Police announced that a Foreign Ministry staff member was kidnapped today in the capital, where three government employees were killed yesterday, and another individual working for the Health Ministry came under attack.
Reportedly, gunmen ambushed a Foreign Ministry car and abducted the female ministry employee and her driver in west Baghdad.
Police also announced the armed men plotted an attack against another Health Ministry employee’s car as it traveled to the airport, the female employee in the vehicle was wounded in the attack, and her driver was killed.
The police evaluated these tactics of insurgents to instigate car bomb attacks in the capital. Police said the purpose of these actions is to create a sense of fear.
Meanwhile, a police officer was reportedly killed north of Mosul, and the body of a barber kidnapped four days ago in Basra, was found.
A curfew was enforced this morning due to the threat of car bomb attacks in area to the north of the capital in Tikrit.
