Al Qaeda 'ambassador' killed in Iraq: US military
BAGHDAD (AFP) - A major Al-Qaeda figure in Iraq was killed near the restive city of Baquba, the US military announced.

Rafid Ibrahim Fattah, also known by his nom de guerre Abu Umar al-Kurdi, was an important-Al Qaeda figure in Iraq with ties to militant groups like Ansar al-Sunna, Jaish al-Islami, and the Taliban in

Afghanistan, said US military spokesman Major General Rick Lynch.

"Abu Umar was given the title of Al-Qaeda ambassador and served as a liaison between terrorist networks," he said, adding that he coordinated the actions of various military groups.

Abu Umar was killed by US forces on March 27.

Earlier this month the military had announced the arrest of Mohammed Hilal Hammad Ubaydi, also known as Abu Ayman, a close aide of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and former aide to the intelligence chief under Saddam Hussein.

He was the prime suspect in last year's kidnapping of Italian journalist Guiliana Sgrena.

The Al-Quaeda are very egalitarian! Apart from Bin Laden, everyone is a "Number 2".
And another thing. "Given the title" - they don't say who by.

7. AMBASSADOR ? what ? to AlKayduh Nation?
remember there is no real organization named Al Queda-
That was a computer file name where "terrorist" data was stored...I think it was on a computer in (Germany?)

911=MIHOP--thanks to Marvin Bush-head of security at the World Trade Center-Demo Charges were easily set

These greedy bastards are capable of ANYTHING-

We should likely expect another big
"event" that would make 911 look small..so they can postpone all elections.

Airstrike in Pakistan kills top al-Qaida militant

A high-ranking member of the al-Qaida terrorist network was killed in an airstrike on a remote village in western Pakistan, U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News on Thursday.

Mohsin Musa Matawalli Atwah was among as many as 14 suspected militants who were killed in the attack in the North Waziristan tribal region village of Anghar Kalai, near the Afghan border, the officials told NBC News.

MSNBC

But he was ONLY a top militant...hardly an Ambassador

...Abu Umar was killed by US forces on March 27...

Why do they tell us things when they feel like it as opposed to when they happen?
