Head of White House religious charity efforts to lead Pa. college

WASHINGTON (AP) — The head of the White House office of faith-based and community initiatives resigned to become president of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.

Jim Towey's departure was not related to any White House shake-up, Bush press secretary Scott McClellan said Tuesday.

Towey served as Florida's director of health and rehabilitative services under the late Democratic Gov. Lawton Chiles. He also worked with Mother Teresa's ministry for more than 10 years and founded the advocacy group Aging With Dignity in 1996.

1. Towey is closely aligned with RevMoon. Pa. DUers should call the college.

2. Well, at least he brings the College fund raising experience.
Every College president is the campus' fundraiser in chief.
