'I'll tell Ken Bigley's family where to find his body'

A suspected al-Qaeda militant has offered to reveal where the body of Ken Bigley was dumped after he was beheaded in Iraq.

Loa'i Mohammed Haj Bakr al-Saqa claims he played a part in the British engineer's killing and would be willing to tell his family where to find the body.

Saqa, a Syrian, is on trial charged with masterminding and securing finance for bomb attacks on synagogues and the British consulate in Istanbul in November 2003 which killed more than 60 people.

Osman Karahan, his lawyer, said Saqa had taken part in the mock trial and sentencing of Mr Bigley, who was killed in 2004. "Saqa was there during the whole process of the trial and sentencing of Bigley," he said, adding that Saqa had been assigned to Mr Bigley's case by Iraq's al-Qaeda leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
