BAGHDAD, Iraq Police say they have found the bodies of ten Iraqis who apparently were tortured and killed in captivity.
In northern Iraq, suspected insurgents set off two bombs in a public market, killing at least two people. The second blast was timed to hit emergency crews arriving at the scene.
The bullet-ridden bodies of nine Iraqis were found in several locations in and around Baghdad today. Many of the victims were blindfolded with their hands and legs bound in rope. Some appeared to have been tortured.
In Kut (koot), 100 miles southeast of Baghdad, police found a body floating in the Tigris River. That victim also showed signs of torture.
