Spokesman Denies Rice Leaked Defense Info
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Condoleezza Rice's spokesman on Saturday branded as "utterly false" a lawyer's claim the secretary of state leaked national defense information to a pro- Israel lobbyist charged with receiving and disclosing such information.

The assertion came as a federal judge granted a defense request to issue subpoenas for Rice and three other government officials in the trial of Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman, the former lobbyists with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee charged in the case.

"The claims by these defense lawyers are utterly false," Rice's spokesman, Sean McCormack, told The Associated Press.

"The secretary is the most careful person in the handling of classified information and she absolutely did not convey classified information to either of these individuals," McCormack said.

Then she should be happy to testify underoath.

2. But the thing is, my sister, no matter if she admits to having told these
lobbyists all kinds of secret info, nothing will be done to her. I mean after all, what the hell kind of punishment did she suffer after having to admit to the lies about knowing about planes hitting the WTC? The lying POS is still free to buy shoes at Ferragamos while people are dying because of her foul mouth.

This is the worst thing about this administration and our Democratic politicians. Even after they are found UNALTERABLY GUILTY...NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT!

14. Condi Can't Lie To Save Her Life
Although she will try....She is the weakest link in this whole chain of command. Once Rove and Cheney are out of the picture, the whole Neo Con collapses.

And the music of Scott Joplin is heard in the background....(think The Sting)

9. If someones press secretary said; "Oh yeah, she/he did it. Yup
guilty as hell. We just thought you'd never find out."
Would some reporters have to seek emergency psychiatric help?
What if Condy went on Meet The Press and further explained:
"We all do it. You know, back channel stuff. Hey, who do you
think we support in all this, the Arabs or Israel? C'mom
people. Get over it."
It would be shocking. I would doubt my senses. But it would
be refreshing.

directly from Condi HERSELF?

Or maybe this is part of Bush's staff shakeup--a way of getting rid of her without firing her or forcing her to leave!

... The indictment against Rosen and Weissman alleges that three government officials leaked sensitive and sometimes classified national defense information to the two, who subsequently revealed what they learned to the press and to an Israeli government official.

One of the three government officials is former Pentagon official Lawrence A. Franklin, who pleaded guilty to providing classified defense information to Rosen and Weissman and was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison...
