FEMA tells 625 Texans: Hand it over
FEMA tells 625 Texans: Hand it over
By: Beth Gallaspy, The Enterprise 04/23/2006

Texas families have received more than $592 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help recover from Hurricane Rita, but the agency is trying to get some of that money back.

So far, the agency has sent letters to 625 Texas residents asking for the return of $1.26 million that should not have been paid. Most of that - $1.14 million - was incorrectly paid for damage to homes that were not the owners' primary residences, FEMA spokeswoman Hannah Vick said.

Damages to secondary residences are ineligible for FEMA money under federal law.

In other cases where the agency has asked for money to be repaid, the same person received multiple $2,000 expedited assistance payments or multiple people from the same household received the $2,000.

5. I'm sending a letter to the U.S. gov't*, I want my tax
money back that was pissed away in Iraq.

They degrade them, they forget about them, the ship them to the four corners of the U.S., the separate families, they disrespect the dead and they kick them out of their own homes, now they want the pittance that they gave them back??

We are now spending 10 billion dollars a month in Iraq. $10 Fucking Billion Dollars!!!! How about charity beginning at home?? Shift that money to New Orleans.

We are on a ship piloted by fools.

6. You might want to take a look
at the Pre-Katrina money that went into New Orleans.

After that, ask yourself what it paid for.

7. Should read: "Americans(Texans included) tell FEMA "Hand it Over"...
all the billions collected by Red Cross, and other PUBLIC, private donations which NEVER reach the needy N.O. victims in time...but were re-directed to sub-sub-sub-sub gov't-approved contractors (each taking their portion of the funds intended for the "victims, "NOT" the Greedy interloper opportunitists who ultimately got the bulk of the donacted monies.

Instead the focus is exaggerated and redirected/blamed back on the few "allegedly" who falsified FEMA claims. Compared to the THOUSANDS (uncounted) dead who failed to get "their share" of the FEMA funding/donations...this story needs reversed in the "rabbit hole" reverse reality which IS this Admin's justification for stealing themselves by the Billions, yet "projecting"/fabricating?? a few allegedly "stolen" by the true "victims" in this tragedy.
