2. Holy CRAP! Thirty-TWO percent? That's lower than the Pox "news" poll.
Thirty-TWO percent? That IS getting low. My husband keeps saying this isn't the bottom - that it's gonna keep dropping til he's in the 20's. Hopefully! But this is getting pretty low. ESPECIALLY if that's CNN/USA Today/Gallup.

46. "The base" has to buy gas too.
EVERYONE is getting hit at the pump, including the haves, have-mores, & wannabes who think they'll become rich one day & therefore support Boy George.

OK, the Prez doesn't have much to do with economic issues, & should have low poll numbers for being a crappy leader rather than high gas prices, but I'll take it where I can get it.

10. A few stump speeches about the strong economy oughta help.
I suspect it's only a matter of time before Bush approaches makeover maven Josh Bolten with the magic words "And Boltie, yer doin' a HECK of a job."

Bolten had better add a few more points to his five-point plan.

Can The New Sheriff Tame The West Wing? Josh Bolten started by shaking up the staff. Next comes a five-point White House "recovery plan"

14. I think the answer is the higher the gas prices go
the lower he goes. And this time I don't think even starting a new war with Iran will help. At least 60% will not buy his lying this time and even a lot of the base will be pissed when it causes them to either not have gas or have to go to the pawn store to get the money to buy gas.

26. That loud "Yes!" you hear is
from the grateful Nixon family. They've been waiting for someone like Dubya to takeover the spot as least popular contemporary president. How low can he go? Below Nixon. Just wait. The Plame affair is just getting warmed up. And the "secret" torture prisons are finally making it into mainstream coverage.
Rush, Hannity, and Co. can't turn back the tide.

It's been an amazing ride....from a ridiculous 90% approval rating right after 9/11 to where he is now. A consistant and determined effort to make every American hate his administration. We still have almost 2 years to go, too.

I mean, why would anyone want to give the guy who spent 40% of his 1st 9 months on vacation, disregarding the warnings? His polling should have been 32% on 9/12...if the media hadn't made it a full scale positive PR event for Bush.

47. I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday...
I remember, soon after hearing about it, OK, I slept through it, I'm a heavy sleeper, and people tried to call, didn't wake me up. Anyways, I heard about it on the car radio on the way to work, around noon, and as soon as I got off work, I went to my Mom's(she's somewhat excitable), to see if she's all right. First thing out of her mouth was "Reichstag". Yeah, she raised me right! :)

31. If he bombs Iran will his numbers go up? Or have people seen
enough of his "war President" antics. He'll of course go for his " I'm tough on terrorism" crap and he'll make the case that he is saving the country but will it raise his numbers at all. Or will people finally cry out enough when after the bombing the Iraq war flares up and thousands more of our troops are causalities, and the price of gas goes to $5.00?

Is it wrong that this makes me so happy that I can hardly contain myself? You know, people have denigrated dems for just sitting idly by while all hell breaks loose in this administration...but what else were we suppose to do? 2 more points, down to 30 percent...then we send the attack dogs in...relentless...bloodthirsty...tales from the crypt that the repubs thought were long ago buried...floating bodies in NO...V.Plame...lies about WMDs...using a living corpse to gain political advantage...abducting Christ...playing on peoples worst fears...3 dollars a gallon gasoline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What have we gained?????? At least presidents can get a BJ in peace after all this crap.

51. So they're FINALLY admitting his 'true' polls.
I've always felt EVEN when he "won??" the election in '04, Shrub's TRUE approval ratings even then were in the 30's.

Every on-line poll I took at the time (nationwide...local as well as MSM)...came up approx. 70% Kerry approval, 30-ish approval for the Shrub. Even on Election day, I voted in a MSNBC poll about who I'd vote for, and the poll early that day (pulled from the site later that day)...said approx. 70% in Kerry's favor? Odd, how numbers change...if 'challenged.'
