Convoys of food, medical and other aid headed to hard-hit areas of Lebanon on Wednesday, having secured safe passage from Israel after days of delays, officials said.
A French warship arrived in Beirut carrying 150 tonnes of food, blankets and medicine in one of the largest shipments to reach the Arab state in the three-week war.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP) resumed convoys to the estimated 750,000 people in Lebanon displaced by the violence.
"Today was more fruitful because we could move ... but that does not mean what is currently being done on a humanitarian level is enough," ICRC spokesman Hisham Hassan said.
