Texas store banks on Bush trip
what a bunch of idiots................

Barely 48 hours after US President George W Bush's secretive trip to Iraq, one of the souvenir stores in this one-stoplight town is already making money by selling commemorative trinkets.

You can still get the kitchen magnet that reads, "He's at his ranch in Crawford, I think?" - a play on the veil of secrecy that blanketed the trip - or the coffee mug showing Bush serving Thanksgiving dinner to delighted troops.

"The president will be drinking his coffee out of that tomorrow," one employee of Crawford Country Style says proudly.

"He didn't come into the store himself, but he sent someone in to buy it."

The sold out pin reads "Midnight flight to Baghdad ... Thanksgiving 2003" and features a dialogue in which Bush's pilot tells an alert British Airways captain that he did not really just see Air Force One flying towards Baghdad - an anecdote told by the White House.

13. photoshop! - slightly off topic
would that I could

Oh, to take a bottle of Bic Wite-out and change quick dry to 'quick lie', Bic to bush*, correction fluid to 'correction fluent'?, etc.

supplies of the product may be limited, though - due to demand.

5. Now that the British Airways story has been debunked
what will they do with the souvenirs? Or maybe the facts won't get in the way of their euphoria.

11. Could be quite a collectible in the future. Says they are sold out,
wonder if that happened after yesterday's news of the lie.
Of course, if someone start a collection of memorabilia (sp?) on Shrub lies they would need a semi-trailer to haul it around!

22. All they have are lies
The mouth-breathers who would buy something like this love the lies, because they are incapable of living in the real world.

18. Unbelievable!
I have never seen a president (so-called) that needed more propping up than bushco. He's like some sort of media creation. I can see the t.v. listings now:

"Tonight on Rove's Place: Bush pretends he is president by flying to the scene of his crime." Paris Hilton guest stars.

After the show, be sure to visit our gift shop for a comemorative mug.

Insane!

And a small animated looking chimpy is riding a bicycle backwards.

20. And the WH will claim they had nothing to do with it...
...but the font on the cup will be the same as the font on the "mission accomplished" banner. :eyes:

Big difference between the previous admin, which lied about sex, and this admim, which lies about everything! I'm beginning to think they're unable to tell the truth about one stinking little thing...

21. Who IS Their Vendor?
What is the standard turn around on a custom pin? Less than 48 hours? I can see kitchen magnets and coffee mugs IF someone on staff at this country store spent the night downloading pictures and getting them off to the vendor. A same day Fed Ex delivery might get the goodies there in time. But the pins? That is another story.

I am guessing that someone leaked to the store a friendly hint that BiffCo/ Iraq/Turkey Day pins could be a big seller..... Maybe a short little drive out to Crawdad will turn me on to this phenomonal vendor. I hear they have British pilot mugs on sale 1/2 price today.
