Zogby: More Americans Upset With Loss Of Life In Iraq
Angus Reid Global Scan: Polls & Research
Sept 11, 2006

Many adults in the United States are disappointed with the way the coalition effort is progressing, according
to a poll by Zogby international. 58 per cent of respondents believe the war in Iraq has not been worth the
loss of American lives, up two points since August.

The coalition effort against Saddam Hussein's regime was launched in March, 2003. At least 2,667 American
soldiers have died during the military operation, and more than 19,000 troops have been wounded in action.

Polling Data

Has the war in Iraq been worth the loss of American lives?

Yes 36% Sept 2006 (38% August 2006)

Yeah, Kenny Bunkport's media offensive is really moving the paradigm, Karl.

Bush slept and 3,000 died.

9. People are making a benchmark out of the number who died on 9/11
When our losses in Iraq exceed that number, it may be a watershed moment.

But that watershed ignores the blood shed by as many as 100,000 Iraqis.

What's the ratio, then? One American life is worth 33 Iraqi lives?
