1. Only $45,000?
What happened to the rest of it? Or am I wrong in thinking that there were much higher figures mentioned earlier on?

OHIO SCANDAL
Noe gets 27 months in federal prison for illegal Bush contributions

By MIKE WILKINSON
BLADE STAFF WRITER

Tom Noe, the GOP fund-raiser at the heart of Ohio's biggest political scandal
in a generation, was sentenced today to 27 months in a federal prison for
illegally funneling money into President Bush’s re-election campaign.

U.S. District Court Judge David Katz also ordered Noe to pay $136,200 in fines
for sending more than $45,000 into a 2003 Bush fund-raiser by using two dozen
friends and associates — including several current and former local Republican
elected officials — in violation of federal election laws.

Noe, 52, remains free on bond until the conclusion of his trial next month
on 48 felony counts in state court related to allegations that he stole
millions from a $50 million rare-coin fund that he managed for the Ohio Bureau
of Workers' Compensation.

3. That link doesn't seem to mention the 27 months in federal prison.

5. Tell him that unless he wants to be married to Rollo the Mad Dog Rapist...
during an unofficial ceremony at Ohio State (Penitentiary), he should spill the beans on Kenny Boy Blackwell and Election Day 2004.

7. Poor guy... HE's been shamed.
Well tfb.

OUR Country has been raped and pillaged by *ush and the henchmonkeys.
OUR Country is going down the toilet with *ush using the Constitution to wipe his ass.

Two - Five years for interferring with the free election process?

The ONLY way I would give him a break is if he were able to deliver Ken Blackwell's head on a platter so to speak.

Noe gave money, Ken bent over and delivered to *ush. HE'S the a**hole I want to see in prison getting gang raped. Well, ok, so I wouldn't really want to SEE it, but know for certain that it was happening. Yeah.

8. The really ironic part is
now that he's a convicted federal criminal, he can't vote.

There IS justice.

Former Political Fundraiser Thomas Noe Sentenced to 27 Months in Prison for Illegal Campaign Contributions

WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Former political fundraiser Thomas W. Noe was sentenced to 27 months in prison for conspiring to make illegal campaign contributions, causing a false statement to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), and knowingly and willfully making $45,400 in illegal campaign contributions to President George W. Bush's 2004 re-election campaign, Assistant Attorney General Alice S. Fisher of the Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney Gregory A. White of the Northern District of Ohio announced today.

Noe, who pleaded guilty on May 31, 2006, was sentenced by the Hon. David A. Katz of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Western Division, in Toledo. Judge Katz also imposed a fine of $136,200 and two years of supervised release.

At his plea hearing, Noe admitted that in October 2003, he made contributions to Bush-Cheney '04 Inc. over and above the limit established by the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA). Noe admitted disguising these contributions by recruiting and providing money to friends and associates who then used Noe's money to make contributions in their own names. Noe contributed $45,400 of his own money through 24 such conduits. To avoid suspicion, he gave several conduits checks in amounts slightly less than the maximum allowable amount and instructed several conduits to falsely characterize his payments to them as loans.

Noe pleaded guilty to each of the three counts in an indictment. The first count charged Noe with conspiring to violate the FECA's anti-conduit provision by making contributions in the names of others, and with conspiring to fraudulently disrupt and impede the public disclosure and enforcement responsibilities of the FEC. The second count charged Noe with a substantive violation of the FECA's anti-conduit provision, and the third count charged him with causing the submission of a false statement to the FEC. The false statement occurred when Noe caused Bush-Cheney '04 Inc. to unknowingly submit a campaign finance report listing the conduit donors as contributors when the contributions actually came from Noe.
