Car bombing kills 2 in western Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A car bomb exploded near a gas station in western Baghdad on Tuesday, killing two civilians and wounding another 25, police said.

The parked car exploded in the Hay al-Amil district, and the wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital, said police 1st Lt. Tha'er Mahmoud.

In northern Iraq, a roadside bomb aimed at a U.S. military convoy in the city of Mosul, 225 miles northwest of Baghdad, wounded four civilians, said police Col. Abdul-Karim Ahmed Khalaf
