GOP fliers misstate the facts about Wetterling's voting history
Wetterling's opponent and the national party chairman said they hadn't seen the fliers.

The National Republican Congressional Committee has sent two literature pieces to households in the Sixth Congressional District attacking Democrat Patty Wetterling for failing to vote in three elections.
The attacks are inaccurate. Calling them merely deceptive would be a kindness. The Wetterling campaign calls them a "lie." You decide.

One flier says "Even though liberal Patty Wetterling failed to vote in 2000, 2002 and 2004 elections ... there's one vote she's ready to make ... Liberal Patty Wetterling could vote to increase your taxes!"

The second flier begins: "Liberal Patty Wetterling failed to vote in three elections..."

Factual problems:

Wetterling voted in the general elections of 2000, 2002 and 2004. In 2000 and 2002, she didn't vote in the primaries.
