This universal health care bill is the work of Sen. Sheila Kuehl, a Democrat over the past three years. The media cover on this bill is a joke, why, Because a lot of their employees are covered by a union, the administration employees are covered by their respective company (a selling point to attach employees) and lets not forget, not to piss-off the advertisers (the insurance companies who donate so much money to politicians and our FREE TV viewing).
People just did not know about this bill. Besides, Arnold regurgitated line, "vast new bureaucracy." was the one used in 1993 by the Republicans, when the Clinton's did make an effort at universal health care. Arnold's other line about helping the poor is also a joke. I was making $32,000 dollars a year and did not have insurance. It would have cost me over $4000 to get coverage from a HMO that was half way decent. It was cheaper to find a Doctor, pay $40 visit every two months and get samples to take of my asthma problems. If things got really bad, I could go to an emergency room and become a charity case. That is what Ronald Reagan did in the eighties with Aids patients. Nobody knew about Aids in the years passed other than being a gay disease just like they knew about the inter-workings of this bill just vetoed.
