http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=1550713COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ A television ad sponsored by a liberal activist group accusing President Bush of neglecting the education and health of children to finance the war in Iraq began airing in Ohio and four other states on Thursday.
The 30-second spot by MoveOn.org will run through Dec. 17 on cable television stations in Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton and Toledo, the group said.
Wes Boyd, MoveOn.com founder, said the ad is intended to educate voters in the presidential battleground states of Ohio, Florida, Missouri, Nevada and West Virginia about Bush's misplaced priorities. "Our members feel strongly that the president's failed leadership is costing Americans not only in misspent dollars but in opportunities lost, opportunities to aggressively address national problems," Boyd said.

Bush campaign spokesman Kevin Madden pointed out the $87 billion appropriation for Iraq and Afghanistan passed with bipartisan support in Congress. Madden said the group and its advertising campaign "stand in stark contrast to what our campaign is about.
They're entirely focused on pessimism, protests and attacking. Our campaign is dedicated to continuing the focus on the president's record of positive leadership. Voters want to hear about solutions to everyday problems they face."
