Four Colorado agencies targeted with white powder in letters
DENVER - Inspectors with the United States Postal Service and the FBI are investigating a series of threatening letters and white powder scares in the metro area.

A postal inspector spokesman says it is too early to determine if the four incidents come from one source, but they did say since only Colorado state agencies were targeted with threatening letters and white powder there seems to be a link. Department of Agriculture mail worker Merry Colmenero opened one of those envelopes.

"And the letter said in big red letters, 'You are now poisoned and anyone who comes into contact with this or you will be poisoned also,' and then it went on to say something about Mohammed and Islam," said Colmenero.

This sounds really fishy to me. You don't suppose someone could be setting up the Muslim community here in Denver? There's been quite a lot of tension lately.

9. is this another terror attack? If so, W has some explainin' to do
The 2001 batch of anthrax attacks give lie to the "not attacked since 9-11" line they like to use, and this would just be another nail in the coffin of the myth. That is, if Joe Sixpack actually thinks rationally for half a second instead of knee-jerking himself back to the GOP safety illusion.

10. They're attacking with artificial sweetener!!! Quick, run, and hide!!!
Is it the old school evildoing PINK variety, the increasingly common and wicked BLUE packets, or the more expensive and threatening Splenda Yellow sweetener that the mystery terr-izer is using?

I'm going to toddle out on a thick and sturdy limb and guess it's some fundie asshole who desperately wants to demonize Muslims who is behind this latest adventure, for whatever reason. Could be a personal beef, could be just the plain fear that accompanies stupidity. Or it could be someone who thinks they are helping "W" by keeping Murkah in fear mode, but doing a shitty job of it. Whatever the scenario, I am skeptical that a Muslim had anything to do with it.

12. Or some mean mouth lady who swipes the sweetener
from the diner in bulk, along with the napkins and catsup packets, and who thinks that religious fervor and voting GOP will someday make her miserable life worth living...!
