WH not seeking probe of intel leak

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The White House has no plans to seek an investigation of who leaked a report on the Iraq war's impact on terrorism, spokeswoman Dana Perino said Wednesday.

...

"The president, to my knowledge, has not made such a request," Perino said. "It is troubling that classified information is leaked.

"A couple of points about -- the intelligence community must have the ability to write frankly and to provide advice to the president, in which they provide both welcome and unwelcome news. And what you don't want to have happen ... is losing that ability of both the intelligence analysts, and then the policymakers using the information that they're getting, to feel like they are hampered in any decision-making because they believe that that information is going to end up in the public and be exploited for political purposes.

"It is curious that this document was finished and provided in April and it doesn't show up until we're in the homestretch of the election."

4. Bada Bing, bada booom!
A carefully orchestrated rovian opera, with bush pounding the pulpit sounding all rightous striking out against the politicians amongst us. And I dare so no politics would be involved yorik had this information been fed to the masses after November 7th. To lie or not to lie, that is not the question in this white house.

2. The reason why this information was leaked is because much of the
intelligence the agencies provide is ignored by the current regime. Only the select pieces that support policy often in the eyes of self and special-interest are taken into consideration and thus we end up with the likes of the debacle in Iraq.

3. I thought I saw a Capital News crawl on C-Span last nite
that said Al "Torturo" G. had requested an investigation. (Maybe the White Haus isn't asking because their buddy Torquemada has already done it for them ... )

and die quickly, it wasn't good for them and they don't want to talk about it anymore.
