High on the visibility calendar were John Kerry, Howard Dean and Gen. Wesley Clark. All had plenty of supporters wearing T-shirts, handing out brochures and walking the halls carrying placards. Even Dennis Kucinich had a few supporters — and there was little, if any, sign that Dick Gephardt is a contender.

While schedules still were being adjusted Friday, Clark was scheduled to be on tap this afternoon, along with Kucinich and Carol Mosley Braun, whose appearance depends on how well she battles a case of the flu, said state Democratic Party Chairman Scott Maddox.
Candidate Al Sharpton is another big maybe. Although travel arrangements were still in development, he’s appearing on “Saturday Night Live” tonight, and that’s expected to trump his appearance in Florida.
John Edwards, Kerry and Gephardt are all expected this morning; and all candidates who appear today also are asked to show up for Sunday’s events.
