Bush opposes three-way partition of Iraq: TV interview
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush said in a television interview that he opposed dividing Iraq into a Kurdish, a Shiite and a Sunni region, which he said would create even more chaos.

"Three autonomous regions will create not only a situation where Sunnis and Sunni nations and Sunni radicals will be competing against Shia radicals. The Kurds will then create problems for Turkey and Syria," he said in an interview with Fox News.

"And you have got a bigger mess than we have at this point in time, which I believe is going to be solved."

The Iraqi parliament on October 11 approved a law which would allow the country's 18 provinces to hold referendums to merge into larger federal regions with a measure of self-government.

1. Well, good luck with that, George.
You have as much power as a crushed grape right now.

2. Maybe Chimpy should leave thinking to grownups.
If Rove, Diebold and the latest Maxwell/Cruella steal this election again, stand the F*** by, because things will get very ugly.

3. Bullshit, georgie... You know and I know that was the plan all along...
Purvin&Gertz, Houston.

I saw those maps in Blake Eskew's conference room.

As did J A Baker.

As did Harmid Karzai.

As did that asshole Hadley.

Just google 'blake eskew', 'purvin','gertz'

Play around, see what happens.

I am tired of this and I am about to go absolutely Public.

They have planned this all along.

6. See, I think you're right. They did want the breakup of the country all
along. But was bush** in on the plan or is he just the putz they have out spewing 'propaganda' while they divvy up the oil fields?

4. And what can you do to stop it, Mr. President?
The Iraqi government Bush counted on to keep Iraq together
is partitioning the country. An all-out effort to prevent
Baghdad from imploding is not working.

And despite it all, George Bush insists that everything will
work out in the end if Iraq does things his way. The BushCo
way is exactly how we got into this mess. Declaring the
resulting calamity unacceptable won't stop it from happening.

5. Aww, how cute. He thinks it's up to him.
You gonna put 900,000 more troops in Iraq to hold it together, Dubya? I'm sure all those displaced New Orleanians will be more than happy to be drafted. Three squares and a paycheck sure beats living in the Astrodome for those underpriviliged people anyway, just ask you momma. And they're used to bullets flying overhead, right?

This is getting tiresome. But I tend to forget that Bush does not believe in majority rule, here or elsewhere.

7. I think Halliburton
provides the meals, so they don't get three squares a day anymore, and the water is polluted. Just another Bush crony success story.

10. Halliburton bills for like 7 meals a day, I forgot!
And don't forget that a little chlorea makes the immune system stronger. Halliburton is trying to keep our troops' immune systems boosted, that's all. In fact, we should be grateful that Halliburton is providing this free immune-boosting service! :sarcasm:

11. Unfortunately for Bush, it ain't his call. "The Decider" doesn't get to
decide on this. The fact that he doesn't know this yet is pathetic.
