2. Will Clark capitalize on this endorsement
via some stand on issues important to African Americans? If so, what do you think it will be?

6. Congrats, Clarkies!!
Oops, I meant to write that Young must be angling for a job or for 2008....;-)

Honestly, I hope that this will help Dem turnout in the South for 2004. Votes for Clark are votes against Bush!

8. How dare he!
I used to be a fan of Andrew Young's, but after this despicable pre-election endorsement...

Seriously, congrats to Clark on his supporters! Young is a great person to have on your side.

9. *wink*
In this case, he is "duly" trying to influence people. :-)

I won't be baited into wasting time trying to explain the difference.

17. No! Not even close! I doubt Young will say... It's over...

Dems. Get behind my man because I have spoken. I know for a fact he wouldn't say that. Only a pompous, brain-addled fool would say something like that.

11. This is really coming down to a two horse race now!
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 03:44 PM by Walt Starr
This is DAMN exciting and it's geting to a point where you will have to go one of two ways in the general election:

1) Dean/Clark (hey, I had to do the one with my candidate first).

2) Clark/Dean

Those are the only two potential tickets I see from this because, frankly, that's going to end up being the only way we can unify the party, regardless of which one of the two win the nomination.

And I would be damned proud to campaign for, donate money to, and vote for either of those two potential tickets.

So, since this thread is announcing an important endorsement for Clark, let me use MY campaign slogan for the ticket first:

Clark/Dean in 2004, because when you put a Bush and a Dick in the White House, you knew somebody was getting screwed!

18. The Clintons will never come out and say it. Because they...
know that as the party elders, it would give an unfair advantage to Clark. There are endorsements. Then there are coronations. Gore attempted to coronate Dean and tell the others to give up and join the team he was creating. If the Clintons endorsed a candidate it would be seen as a coronation. That's why they won't do it. I would have never believed that Gore would behave in such an arrogant and overbearing manner.

15. With Wes at the top of the ticket, possibly
It would still be tough. Very tough. But at least he has a shot -- unlike Dean.

14. This is good start, but it's not as big as Gore
I say this as a red, white, and blue-blood Clarkie! This makes me happy, but in all honesty, I wish Gore had endorsed Wes!

The upside is that this does take us to a new level and hopefully the endorsements will start pouring in!!

Wes will win!!!
