Congressman: Dean Not Hurtful to Dems (Matsui)
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Robert Matsui, a veteran of Washington politics, says having Howard Dean, a self-described outsider, at the top of the ticket may not be bad for Democratic candidates.

Matsui, D-Calif., said Wednesday that Dean has the kind of "moderate record" as governor of Vermont that would not be a drag on Democratic House candidates in conservative regions.

Matsui, a 13-term congressman and chair of the Democrats' House campaign committee, also said Dean is bringing new voters into the campaign and has offered to raise money for other Democrats.

"His base is a very interesting base," Matsui said. "He will bring out a lot of new voters."

That's us, folks. It's not Dean they want, it's his supporters, but guess what guys, it's a package deal! Like he says, he's not going to the white house, we are, if if you're good, you can come to!

The Dems have been floundering without a leader for far too long, and us lowly constituents have cried Enough! And Dean heard us!

7. Dolstein, we take the lemons and make lemonade.
That's the way of the Deaniac. Oh ... that and flyering and registering voters and talking to everyone we meet and writing tons of letters by hand to undecided voters, and canvassing, and travelling to other states on our own dime in freezing weather. We work damn hard and we're thrilled to do it.

8. ONe "ringing" endorsement among
many!
"I'd also like to say that whatever it is that Howard Dean knows, or whatever it is that he eats for breakfast every morning, if I could give it to every other Democratic office holder and would-be office holder, we would immediately become the majority in the Congress and we would have about 35 governors. I have to tell you, I think a big part of it is just producing for people, actually doing what you say you're going to do at election time."

-- Bill Clinton, 12 November 1997

After all Dolstein serves a purpose.

After reading what he usually posts, I can safely assume the OPPOSITE of what he's saying is the truth and the way to go!

Not 100% of the time, but about 99%. After all, even a broken clock is also correct twice a day!
