Saddam execution scenes 'wrong' :Blair`s office

The manner in which Saddam Hussein's execution was conducted was "completely wrong", the prime minister's official spokesman has said.
The execution "shouldn't have happened in that way", he added. Tony Blair is expected to comment on the issue later this week.

The remarks came after Gordon Brown said the events were "deplorable".

Downing Street said Saddam's crimes and the deaths of Iraqis at his hands should not be forgotten.

thank goodness (I will leave "God" out of it, since "God" equivocates on the subject if his followers are anything to go by) has abolished the death penalty. The leader of our democratically elected government should be condemning the whole brutal blood-ritual of revenge capital punishment represents, not wagging his finger at the Iraqis for being uncivilised in how they carried out an uncivilised act. Typical Bliar two-facedness.
