Chavez to build Nicaraguan refinery
Venezuela has said it will build an oil refinery in Nicaragua to process up to 150,000 barrels of oil per day to help Daniel Ortega, the country's new president.

The plant would end Nicaragua's energy shortage, Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan president said on Friday.

Chavez was speaking in Managua a day after Ortega's inauguration on Wednesday.

The plan was first announced last year by Nicaragua's new energy company Albanic, a joint venture between Venezuela, the world's fifth largest oil exporter, and municipalities then in the hands of former Marxist rebel leader Ortega's Sandinista Party.

2. Very good news. That's better for Nicaragua than the threats from the U.S.
concerning the Bush administration's intention to block the remittances the Nicaraguans working in the United States are sending home to their families, if the family members didn't vote for the OTHER candidate, and not Ortega.

Even Jeb Bush took the time out from sobbing with dad, to meddle in the Nicaragua election, bless his heart.

4. And if this project we're doing
down here pans out....it'll really help the Nicaraguenses. Been nice not working in the Rockies for a winter, that's for sure. This play has the potential for a lot of barrels.

6. I'm a bit uncomfortable with that type of headline. It's obviously "Venezuela" not "Chavez".
If they said 'Chavez announces..." or something like that it would be more accurate.
