Civilians killed in Somalia raids
Clan elders and residents of southern Somalia have said that about 100 civilians were killed in US and Ethiopian air attacks this week.

A senior US official said the US had only carried out one raid in Somalia and no civilians had died.

The raid also missed three senior al-Qaeda figures wanted over bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, he said.

Eight to 10 "terrorist targets" were killed but the United States was still in pursuit of the three most wanted suspects, the official told reporters on condition of anonymity.

2. We're good at missing
We manage to hit something, but not what we are aiming for. Still, the military likes to put it out there as some huge success before they actually find out what they've hit.

How many times did we get Saddam or Zarqari? I think we were about 0 for 50.

Eight to 10 "terrorist targets" were killed

I bet none of these alleged terra targets were anywhere near the bombing range or even in the damm country.

This is more al-Zarqawi propaganda BS.

NAIROBI, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Air attacks against fugitive Islamists in south Somalia
in recent days have mistakenly targeted nomadic herdsmen, killing 70, British-based
aid agency Oxfam said on Friday.

"Under international law, there is a duty to distinguish between military and civilian
targets," Oxfam added, citing its local partner organisations in Somalia for the
information.
