Bush concedes U.S. decisions made Iraq unstable
Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 10:32 PM by ckramer
President George W. Bush acknowledged on Saturday that some of his administration's decisions during the Iraq war had contributed to instability there but he still believed he was right to topple Saddam Hussein.

"I think history is going to look back and see a lot of ways we could have done things better. No question about it," Bush told "60 Minutes."

Bush launched the invasion of Iraq in March 2003 promising to rid the country of weapons of mass destruction, but none were found. He said in the CBS interview that had Saddam been allowed to remain in power, the Iraqi leader would have been competing with Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.

CBS said that Bush had said he watched parts of the Internet video of Saddam Hussein's hanging but not all of it because he did not want to watch Saddam fall through the trap door.

1. pervasion of evil...
The bread of the Passover feast was unleavened bread. Seven days prior to the feast, all leaven was to be put out of the house. Leaven symbolized the pervasion of evil as it ferments and spreads through the entire substance in which it is mixed. Therefore, unleavened bread is a symbol of purity. This alone was fitting to represent the pure and sinless body of Christ.

GW Bush is a lying sack o' shit. He represents the break down of the fiber of society; a moral decay; the pervasion of evil; the substance of nightmares; the ultimate deceiver; Satan; Beelzebub; the devil; the antichrist...

He, his family and friends celebrated when Saddam died. They gloated when Saddam's neck snapped having silenced a witness to their crimes.

2. This is one of those big stories that vanishes from LBN too damned fast

Apparently Pelley nails the poor dumb fucker.

Pelley: But wasn't it your administration that created the instability in Iraq?
Bush: Our administration took care of a source of instability in Iraq. Envision a world in which
Saddam Hussein was rushing for a nuclear weapon to compete against Iran...He was a
significant source of instability.
Pelley: It's much more unstable now, Mr. President.
Bush: Well, no question, decisions have made things more unstable.

Bush going back to the nuclear excuse even though there was no evidence that Iraq was trying
to obtain such weaponry is going to cause a lot of commentary next week.
