5. Didn't Say
But the other poster is probably right; if not Gitmo, a ship in international or US waters would be my guess.

SH- "So how have you been Don?"

DR- "Oh you know, they're all over my ass"

SH- "Tell me about it, but don't you think you brought me out a little early"

DR- "Perhaps, we're going to see how this helps the Dummy in the polls, if the boost is not substantial, we'll just orchestrate a prison break and re capture you when the time is right"

17. Correct
The Bush administration could very well blow the goodwill they lucked upon today in Iraq over the issue of the trial. Given their past 'bipolar' behavior, they are probably feeling pretty manic and invulnerable right now, ie., "Why should they listen to anyone, especially the IGC..."

You know, it occurs to me that many parties in Iraq are going to be pushing very hard for an open trial. Consider the Shia -- whatever their glee over the capture of Hussein, they remember who backed up Hussein in the US and hung them out to dry in the '80's (and again in the '90's). They might like to get that fact in the official record...

25. Yes, most of the callers today to BBC wanted an open trial.....
these were Iraqis, some calling from Iraq, Norway, London, etc.
I think one caller wanted the death sentence. One said they didn't want a hanging in the square, there had been enough of that. One wanted him to work at burying dead from mass graves.

The emphasis was on a trial and a couple of the callers brought up the potentially "embarrassing" stuff about the US, Britain, etc. and how they had installed and propped up SH.

Of course, that would be unfit for US consumption. And, from what I've read, Iraqis already know what role we played with SH, and that is one of the reasons they are not happy about our presence....

And the raping of their country isn't going down well either....

10. From a security standpoint
This makes a lot of sense. They want no chance he will escape, so I would say Gitmo.

12. I Don't Think They're Worried About Escape
I think they're worried about the press getting info that doesn't come straight from CentCom.

He is an intelligence asset and might know stuff about weapons, troops, attacks, leaders, etc. He should be interrogated for a long time and that requires privacy and security.

I set my DVR to tape something off network TV at 6:30 am, and it was pre-empted by this.

all the church programs were also pre-empted.

But I wouldn't discount the Heidi factor.

22. Hmmm also pretty fashionable haircut and where's the owie above the
left eye and the age-spot above the right? Did they actually allow him to shower and clean-up before the after picture? That would be the only explaination for that bright white T-shirt.

I was wondering the same things but his scars in the "after" picture look just like the ones in the "before" picture only treated and cleaned.

31. Yes Sir, the owie is ...
red, enflamed, and scabbed in the original, and miraculously healed and gone with a shave, shower, and haircut; not to mentioned the days growth of his wiskers in just a few hours.

27. If the left picture and the right picture were both taken today...
these are two different men.

Look at the left eyebrow. In the "after" picture, the left eyebrow is bushier at the outside than it is in the "before" picture.
