I suppose we shall find out. I really hope you are right. I have little faith in the ASPJ. I am very well acquainted with ECM, ECCM and the like. I was an EE at GE and Westinghouse for many years, after a Naval career. I don't want to see trouble come and I really don't want to see our guys fly into the teeth of something that doesn't work out. I am afraid this might not. I am particularly concerned the Russians may have sent the Iranians some more advanced models than we know, since the S-400s will fit into the tubes of these launchers and have even better capabilities, especially against our E-3s.
Tor M1 can detect and track up to 48 targets (minimum radar cross section of
0.1 square meter) at a maximum range of 25 km, and engage two of them
simultaneously, at a speed of up to 700 m/sec, and at a distance of 1 to 12
km. The system's high lethality (aircraft kill probability of 0.92-0.95) is
maintained at altitude of 10 – 6,000 m'. The vertically launched,
single-stage solid rocket propelled missile is capable of maneuvering at
loads up to 30gs. It is equipped with a 15kg high-explosive fragmentation
warhead activated by a proximity fuse.
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread202148/pg1The S-300PMU2 Favorit can engage targets flying from 10 m to 27 km above the surface at a speed of up to 10,000 km/h. It is claimed that it has a kill ratio ranging from 0.8 to 0.93 against aircraft and from 0.8 to 0.98 against Tomahawk-class cruise missiles.

The S-300 family is very difficult to jam and can only be evaded with some assurance by stealthy F-22A or B-2 aircraft. The range of the S-300 PMU-2 allows it to target aircraft that operate over Taiwan, thus denying the Taiwan Strait as an air defense buffer
zone for the Taiwan Air Force. Jane’s reports that China may be funding the development of the even longer-range S-400 missile, while Asian sources report that China may be co-producing the deadly short range TOR-M1,44 which can shoot down precision-guided cruise missiles and bombs.
