Breaking: Reported stabbing death at Lincoln Sudbury High School
From Boston.com:
An incident this morning at Lincoln Sudbury High School has brought police and investigators from the Middlesex District Attorney’s office to the school, said spokesman Corey Welford. Welford would not provide any more details or describe what type of incident took place. However, broadcast reports say there was a stabbing and CBS-4 TV news is reporting that a 17-year-old student is dead.

The Story is developing.

Fatal stabbing at Lincoln-Sudbury High School
January 19, 2007

SUDBURY, Mass. --An unidentified person was fatally stabbed at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School on Friday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The stabbing victim was brought to Emerson Hospital in Concord and pronounced dead at 8:12 a.m., said Bonnie Goldsmith, a hospital spokeswoman. Goldsmith would not say whether the victim was a student or a teacher.

State and local police were sent to the school. Corey Welford, a spokesman for Middlesex District Attorney Gerard Leone Jr., would not immediately provide additional details.

Former professional football player Fred Smerlas, who has a daughter at the school, told WHDH-TV that parents were told that there was an incident prior to school starting involving two students. snip>

2. Wow, that's where my wife went to High School!
Seems like a pretty quiet town.

3. I live in Sudbury.
For the most part, nothing much happens in this upscale town.

When tragedy or violence happens, people interviewed on television tend to all say the same thing: "I can't believe it", "How could it happen HERE". etc.

The truth is, that it CAN happen anywhere ---- even "here".

I am sorry for the relative of the student, and hope like hell that I don't know them personally.

4. LS
I went to LS and graduated in 88..

Hard to believe anyone would ever bring a knife into that school..

The first thought that popped into my mind could cause a stir.. Wherever the student if from, it's going to be a big story.

I bet if the person arrested was from the Metco program, it's going to be even bigger.

LS participates in Metco (inner city students bussed in from Boston)

5. LS again
Sounds like it was a kid from Sudbury or Lincoln who did the crime from some news..

Appears the victim was a special needs student..

Hard to believe kids these dayz
