Protestors march in Bangkok against coup

Hundreds of Thais marched through central Bangkok on Sunday against last year's Sept. 19 coup, demanding that the military leave politics.

The leader of the 19 September Anti-Coup Network, Sombat Boonngamanong, claimed 600 people attended the protest to call on the military junta to "move out" of politics.

"This is the four-month anniversary of the coup. We are telling the military officers it's time to move out," said the activist ...

The network staged a similar rally last Friday. On Dec. 10, the nation's Constitution Day, about 1,500 people joined a demonstration led by Sombat to demand the end of the military regime ...
