NATO says might have killed senior Taliban leader

KABUL (Reuters) - A senior Taliban leader might have been killed along
with his deputies by a NATO air strike in Afghanistan, the alliance said.

The incident occurred on Thursday in an area of southern Helmand province,
part of the main bastion of the resurgent Taliban, NATO said in a statement.

"The precision-guided munitions impacted on target, completely destroying
the compound ...," the statement, issued late on Thursday, said.

NATO did not identify the men, and Taliban members could not be reached
immediately for comment.

3. When are they going to release a work org chart
so we can keep track of all the deputies and #2 guys? Or maybe they could reissue the cards like the did in Iraq? :sarcasm:

5. Did they kill the number two AGAIN??????
I think the Taliban will have to start putting Roman numerals after the title.

"Hi, I'm Habeeb, the Number 2-LXXIII man in the Taliban organization."

Or maybe subscripts...

"The Number 273 man in the Taliban was killed today..."

8. Well, that wraps up that.
I'm sure the Taliban will be utterly unable to find a new leader. Mission Accomplished!
