Three law professors kidnapped in Baghdad
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Three professors from a Baghdad law university have been kidnapped along with a student, Iraq's ministry of higher education has said.

The four were abducted Sunday as they were leaving the university in Baghdad's Shiite district of Kadhimiyah, a statement from the Sunni-controlled ministry said Monday.

The statement said that since the downfall of Saddam Hussein in April 2003, more than 185 university professors have been killed and 52 kidnapped, and another 185 arrested.

In November, dozens of militiamen had raided a ministry building and seized around 150 people, half of whom are still missing, according to the ministry.

1. The Ultimate Brain Drain
Fundies eliminating the intellectual competition, that's the future for America that scares me the most. They've made tremendous progress already, with minimal violence (abortion doctors and women's clinics, mostly).
