Bush says Obama has long way to go to be president

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Wednesday that Democratic Sen. Barack Obama was an impressive politician but had a "long way to go to be president," as he weighed in on the race for the White House in 2008.

"He hasn't gotten elected yet. He hasn't even gotten the party's nomination. He's an attractive guy. He's articulate," Bush said in an interview with Fox News.

"I've been impressed with him when I've seen him in person, but he's got a long way to go to be president," Bush added.

41. Bush knows that a President Obama will be over-ruled by
Justices Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, Alito, and who ever the Decider foists upon us, if or when Stevens or Ginsburg retire or croak.

33. Unfortunately, Bush is the President, but he has never been a leader.
I suppose all of us must accept responsibility for allowing him to be sworn in.

It is a disgrace to this country that a fool was allowed to become the chief executive. I am really pessimistic about the future of this country just because of this. WE ALLOWED A FOOL TO BECOME PRESIDENT. People actually watched those debates and went out and voted for Bush. Absolutely mind boggling and frightening.

36. "attractive guy"? Is Bush the only prez that articulates those thoughts?
He seems obsessed with other men's appearances. Obama is "attractive", well isn't that rather a dismissive thing to say about him? He's "articulate", wow isn't that racist codespeak? Ever notice how some people go out of their way to describe a black as "articulate"? As if that's unusual... bush is an idiot.

Bush is till not ready to be president, he has no room to talk.

39. Score One For Obama
Man, you can't ask for better free advertising than that. I'll bet all of the other candidates are jealous as hell. The president with the lowest ratings since just before Nixon resigned just gave Obama a huge boost. Since 70 plus percent of americans think shrub is a dufus, then probably 70 percent will reject his analysis and give Obama a hard look.

Wahoo!
