Gov. Bush snubs newspaper in annual interview

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.
Gov. Jeb Bush's office did not invite The Palm Beach Post to the governor's traditional end-of-the-year interviews with reporters, citing what they said was unprofessional behavior.

The governor scheduled three sessions Wednesday, each with a half-dozen reporters from newspapers and broadcast agencies that cover the Capitol. None of the Post's three Tallahassee reporters were invited to participate. The Post said it would send a reporter anyway.

"This is utter nonsense. It just seems to me that we would all be better served if the governor's office would simply let us do our job," said Post Editor Edward Sears.

Several writers, including the paper's Tallahassee bureau chief, Shirish Date, have written a series of articles that have exposed problems with the state's school voucher program. (snip/...)

I voted for McBride. I volunteered for his campaign. If it wasn't for 9/11, this Jebbie would have been back in Miami running more crooked business deals. Fortunately this crap is hopefully going to turn more people against his brother. I'll definitely be supporting Jim Davis for Governor in 2006.

the Palm Beach Post reported a story that Jebbie's "voucher schools" don't have to pass the same standard testing (FCATS) as the public schools. Jeb is an embarrasement to any thinking Floridian. The problem is that ther aren't that many "thinking Floridians". The good old boy bible and bass fishin' folks here buy every word Jebbies tells them. Sometimes I wonder who the fish really are.
